Resins
We sell Polyester, Vinyl Ester and Epoxy resins to the composites industry. Isophthalic, orthophthalic and DCPD polyester resins have outstanding laminating, casting and molding capabilities. These UPR resins are the workhorse of the industry and provide a balance of properties. In extremely challenging environments that require superior physical performance and corrosion resistance, vinyl ester resins consistently perform to the needs of our customers. These resins have advantages including better handeling and faster cure. Epoxy resins are particularly dominate due to its exceptional strength, lower shrinkage and resilience against corrosive conditions. They have a well-established record in a wide range of composites parts, structures and concrete repair.
Reinforcements
Reinforcements increase the composite’s stiffness and tensile strength. Reinforcements can be tailored to meet specific requirements, and we offer a variety of different reinforcement options for your needs no matter your end product requirements or the process you utilize. Materials supplied as reinforcement include direct roving, assembled roving, chopped strands, chopped strand mat, continuous filament mat, knits, milled fibers, reinforcement tapes and more.
Gel Coats/Putty
We offer a comprehensive line of gel coats and putties. These products are designed to meet the specific performance criteria requirements for marine, transportation, cultured marble, sanitary ware and virtually any fiberglass composite application where a decorative coating surface is desired. Putties have a proven track record for general purpose adhesion, specifically in the marine industry as a high performance, reliable, weight-reducing, and easy to work with compound.
Initiators
Composite initiators, also known as catalysts, are used to start and control the cross-linking process that cures composite materials. Often, they are used in combination with accelerators. Initiators and hardeners are essential components in the processing of composite materials, particularly in resin systems that undergo a curing process. These agents are used to activate or accelerate the curing reactions, which transform the resin from a liquid state into a solid, rigid material. They play a critical role in the final composite part having the desired mechanical properties and performance characteristics. Types of initiators are Peroxide-based and UV-Curable. Initiators and hardeners work together to achieve a desired curing profile in polyester, vinyl ester or epoxy systems.
Adhesives
Adhesives are used for structural bonding, general fairing, gap filing and surface finishing. They provide the flexural, tensile and compression properties you are looking for. It is user-friendly for the application process and should help meet your performance criteria.
Core Materials
Core materials provide thermal conductivity, sound insulation and fire resistance. Using core materials create a thicker laminate with a minimum increase in weight. This in turn allows the industry to build strong, stiff and light durable structures. We offer several core materials including balsa, foam, honeycomb, core fabrics and more.
Solvents/Cleaners
We offer a variety of solvents and cleaners to help with thinning, cleaning, and finishing your application. Our products include resins, coatings, and adhesives that dissolve binders and pigments for easy application. Additionally, our cleaning agents are effective in removing oils, grease, and residues in industrial applications.
Waxes/Mold Prep
Mold release agents for composites manufacturing are specialized coatings or sprays used to prevent adhesion between the mold surface and the composite material, ensuring easy removal of the part after curing. These agents play a crucial role in the quality of both the mold and finished part. They are especially important for performance with resins and fiberglass where tight tolerances and smooth finishes are critical. We provide various types of release agents, including Wax-based, Silicone-Based, Water-Based and Semi-Permanent. These products can be sprayed, brushed or wiped-on.
